Lightsource BP appoints Gianluca Signorelli as VP of Finance for North America
San Francisco, 17 September 2018 – Lightsource BP, a global market leader in the development, acquisition and long-term management of large-scale solar projects and smart energy solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Gianluca Signorelli as its new Vice President of Finance for North America.
Gianluca joins from NRG, where he raised asset financing for solar and wind projects. Previously, he built and headed a clean energy finance platform for Rabobank in California. Prior to his work in clean energy, he was an international economist with the U.S. Treasury Department focused on South America, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. He holds degrees from Stanford University (AB), Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (MA), and Wharton (MBA). At Lightsource BP, Gianluca is responsible for M&A and fundraising across the North American market.
Commenting on the announcement, Paul McCartie, Lightsource BP Group CIO, said: “We are delighted to welcome Gianluca to our US team. His extensive experience in clean energy and knowledge in global economics will play a vital role in helping us further establish our presence across the North American renewable energy landscape.”
