Celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival and Chuseok: Embracing diversity across Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan

At Lightsource bp, our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is central to who we are as a company. With teams operating across 19 markets, we actively embrace cultural differences, creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected.

VIBES is an employee-led committee at Lightsource bp, designed to empower our people to drive initiatives that enhance well-being and foster a positive workplace environment. It also plays a key role in ensuring that our teams feel connected, no matter where they are in the world.

Honouring the Mid-Autumn Festival and Chuseok

The Mid-Autumn Festival, widely celebrated across many Asian countries, is a time for family reunions, reflection, and gratitude. Families gather to admire the full moon, eat mooncakes, and celebrate togetherness. Similarly, Chuseok, one of the most significant national holidays in South Korea, brings people together to give thanks for the harvest, with family gatherings and the sharing of traditional foods such as songpyeon.

Lightsource bp’s celebration across Asia

This year, to honour these cherished traditions, we distributed gift packs filled with festive treats, including mooncakes and local specialties, to team members of our offices in Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan.

This gesture served to express our appreciation for the contributions of our team members while fostering a sense of unity and connection across different locations. Our teams in Asia were able to connect with their cultural roots while strengthening the bonds within our Lightsource bp community.

We wish everyone a joyful and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival and Chuseok, filled with warmth, celebration, and togetherness!
