5.39MWdc in Crumlin, County Antrim<\/h2>\n

Knockcairn is a 5.39MWdc solar project off Moira road, Crumlin, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. The 35 acre site was energised in March 2017.<\/p>\n

The Knockcairn solar project will not only deliver the much-needed low carbon energy required for a sustainable future, it will also provide benefits beyond. The solar project will increase local biodiversity, through Lightsource bp\u2019s tried and tested initiatives maximising the benefits of the solar site. Solar projects which provide additional benefits are a part of the nation\u2019s future, they help to increase national sustainability by delivering low carbon energy and biodiversity, helping to provide a more prosperous future for the world.<\/p>\n

We hosted a community consultation for the project to gather feedback from residents. Community consultation is an important part of the development process as it provides an opportunity to engage with local communities, allowing us to provide additional information and giving residents theopportunity to ask questions and offer any suggestions.<\/p>\n
