Minister of State for Energy, Matthew Hancock MP "Excited" by Lightsource bp UK's Achievements

During his visit, the minister spoke to staff about his excitement at what Lightsource bp UK had achieved

Minister of State for Energy, Matthew Hancock MP, visited Lightsource’s London headquarters and pledged a strong commitment to supporting the future of the solar industry.

After a recent tour of Chalcroft Solar Farm, in Southampton, Mr Hancock stopped in for a tour of Lightsource’s base at 33 Holborn and spoke to staff about his excitement at what the company had achieved and paid tribute to their efforts in driving forward the industry.

Speaking to Lightsource staff, he said: “This is a company that is doing vital work. The future Conservative government is a strong supporter of solar on roofs and where planning allows it on ground. There is clearly much scope going forward.”
