Joined 2019, USA<\/strong> -Throughout my life I have been drawn to organizations where I felt I was part of something bigger than myself. And that was one of the reasons I joined Lightsource bp.<\/p>\n

My journey here started on a nontraditional path. After attending the US Naval Academy and serving in the Navy for several years, I pursued an MBA at Stanford University to transition into a career in investment banking. I thoroughly enjoyed the fast-paced nature of banking but missed the feeling of working towards a larger purpose. I fulfilled that passion through community service opportunities \u2013 as a Port Commissioner and as President of a local non-profit that plants trees on city streets, schools, and parks. During this time, I also volunteered to build a solar project with Grid Alternatives. It was my first taste of solar, and I was hooked! How fitting that Lightsource bp is now a corporate sponsor of Grid Alternatives, a nationwide non-profit organization that is making clean, affordable solar power and solar jobs accessible to low-income communities and communities of color \u2013 just one of the many examples of how Lightsource bp is living its values and being the change.<\/p>\n

After more than a decade in the solar industry, I continue to wake each morning (typically well before the sun rises!) with a fresh sense of excitement. This is my chance to do my part and contribute toward building a more sustainable future.<\/p>\n

I joined Lightsource bp because I wholeheartedly believe in its mission and its people. Lightsource bp is independent and agile but backed by a strong brand with a huge commitment to renewable energy. We have an incredibly talented management team coupled with a truly collaborative culture, throughout the organization. My favorite thing about Lightsource bp is working with my team \u2013 a group of smart, hard-working people who believe in what we are doing and get stuff done. Today is our chance to grow a successful and profitable business and leave our kids a better world!<\/p>\n
